Printer Settings

Last, you 'may need to (re)load your settings (but probably not); there are several screens, detailed below.

Before doing these steps, please see if the settings you already have loaded will work!

To load a configuration file, do the following:

  1. Go to Setings > Printer.
  2. Click "Save Settings To File" with your custom name, today's date, and "ASFOUND" as a backup
  3. Go see if everything works. If not:
  4. Click "Load Settings from File" - see file names below
  5. Make any customization you like
  6. Click "Flash Motion Settings"
  7. Click "Apply"
  8. Click "Save Settings To File" with your custom name, today's date, and "WORKING" as a backup
  9. Click "OK"

These steps are performed in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1HZOvWKqs8

Note that after flashing, or upon startup, you will be required to home the X and Y axes before other moves are allowed; on the EHR, you will also have to home the Z. This is so that the printer knows where you are and whether or not it is safe to move the amount you tell it to. If you unlock your motors or press the emergency stop button, you should home the X and Y axes again before making other movements (also Z on EHR).

While each printer is shipped with tested, verified settings, you are welcome to customize your unit. For example, a second yoke will reduce your max travel in the X; an auxiliary build plate may have smaller dimensions; tall Hydras will have more travel in the Z; and you will probably want to limit your travel if you've added a vise or chuck.

Note that the printer settings files are included in the latest Repetrel download.

Programs

In Repetrel, go to the Programs tab, and double click in each text field, pointing the applications to their respective executable files under C:/EcosystemApps. See the table below for the proper locations. Note the new location for the Slic3r install; Slic3r Recipes (or Slic3r CFG files) should still be under C:\Users\Hyrel\AppData\Roaming\Slic3r.

Note, if you are missing some fields, they have been obsoleted on newer versions - just ignore them. :)

EcosystemApps Locations
Program Name Executable Location
PrusaSlicer C:\EcosystemApps\Prusa3D\PrusaSlicer\prusa-slicer.exe
Slic3r EXE C:\EcosystemApps\Slic3r\slic3r.exe
Slic3r CFG C:\Users\Hyrel\AppData\Roaming\Slic3r
Open SCAD C:\EcosystemApps\OpenSCAD\openscad.exe
Free CAD C:\EcosystemApps\FreeCAD 0.15\bin\FreeCAD.exe
Mesh Lab C:\EcosystemApps\VCG\MeshLab\meshlab_32.exe
Flat CAM C:\EcosystemApps\FlatCAM\FlatCAM.exe
Q CAD C:\EcosystemApps\QCAD\qcad.exe
TeamViewer C:\EcosystemApps\TeamViewer\Version9\TeamViewer.exe
InkScape C:\EcosystemApps\inkscape\inkscape.exe
GIMP C:\EcosystemApps\GIMP 2\bin\gimp-2.8.exe
Surfer Buddy C:\Surferbuddy\SurferBuddy.exe
AnyDesk C:\EcosystemApps\Anydesk\AnyDesk.exe

Note that if your login ID is not "Hyrel", you'll need to adjust the location for the Slic3r cfg file appropriately. Remember to click APPLY when done to cause these settings to be applied.

Head & Bed Settings

You should ALWAYS use the latest version of the settings file that you find at C:\Repetrel\Head Settings.

For Heads and Hotbeds, we now (v4) have files stored, just like head settings files. If you didn't get them, email me and I'll put the info here.

The names should be self-explanatory, with either the name of the head or the name of the printer model and bed temp:

Head settings folder.png

Right-click on the head (anywhere EXCEPT the "FLASH" button) and open the proper file for your head or bed:

Loadfromfile1.png

And select the file for the device for which you wish to load the settings:

Loadfromfile2.png

But the RTD!?

Please note that on some versions, the RTD type is, unfortunately, not populated. For heated heads, use "1k_PRTD" or "1K_PLAT"; for unheated heads, use "No RTD".

ESR and 30M unit beds should use "10K".

EHR and 16A unit beds should use "1k PRTD"

As with all settings, to store them as defaults, go to the last page and right-click FLASH:

Rcflash1.png

And then click YES:

Rcflash2.png

Note: sometimes the type of head displayed in repetrel is NOT the type of head you have loaded; this is fine. This field really represents which temperature profile has been loaded. Trust me.

Slicer Settings

For Slicer settings, see the Recipes page.

Microscope Driver

Please download and extract the file, then run the executable as admin, then restart the tablet or computer.
