Metal clay?

Postby cgriffin » Tue Mar 03, 2015 5:32 pm

Has anybody printed any metal clay? I wonder about the accuracy and predictability of shrinkage.

Also, Davo, you might consider disclosing any clay work you have done to the US Patent office. This place (link below) claims to have some patents pending, and I would hate for you to lose any capability due to the lack familiarity of prior art on the examiners part. Seems to me if you can print any clay, then there is nothing patentable about printing metal clay. It is MUCH easier to fight a patent prior to issuance than it is after the fact.

Thanks for that - noted and passed to Karl.

I've personally printed with plasticine, porcelain, Sculpey, Sugru and 3P QuickCure Clay - all with the provided plasticine recipes. Others here have printed with Precious Metal Clay.
