Motherboard upgrade?

Postby cgriffin » Fri Jul 22, 2016 6:33 pm

I'm unhappy with the slow cpu in the standard motherboard. Are there any technical reasons the Celeron was chosen, or was it strictly financial? I just want to make sure I won't run into any latency issues if I put a Core i motherboard/cpu in it.

All this got started because I couldn't update Repetrel because the pathetic hard drive is too full to unzip the file from a network folder. (And Simplify3d is the only other software I've installed.)

Thanks.

You should be able to use any other motherboard with the same form factor and power requirements.
