Light Switch = "Kill Power Supply" switch

Postby cgriffin » Wed Sep 23, 2015 10:35 pm

My machined lost all power. My power strip was still on. I could only revive the machine by unplugging the unit for about half a minute.

I rebooted, restarted, and hit the light switch (at the bottom of the machine) to see what was happening, and the machine instantly died again. Another restart, and (it seems like) it works fine as long as I stay away from that light switch.

What should I do? What is covered under the warranty? My unit is 11 months old.

Thanks!

Cliff,

It sounds like a short has developed on the lighting, and the power supply shuts down when it senses this.

I will ask Joe what can be done when he comes in.
