Spindle tool for cleanup?

Can the spindle tool be used for cleanup, to smooth out the edges of a print?

What software have you used for generating g-code for it? Do you have any posts to share?

While that is possible, that is not our primary goal for the spindle tool.

We don't expect that a block of plastic which is not fixtured, but merely sticking to the build plate, would remain in place during a milling operation.

However, with a different build plate, where plastic can be flooded into cavities to ensure solid mounting, this is possible.

As the slicer can presently analyze your model to determine where to place skirts and brims, it is reasonable to expect a similar functionality to place cleanup cuts.
